About

The most important thing to note about Silent Nocturne is that she is literally the Warrior of Light. Everything that the Warrior of Light has done over the course of FFXIV's story, she did. She fights primals on Monday and will have written a manuscript based on the experience by Friday. She will not reveal this to anyone, as she keeps her work and private life separate to protect herself and all those close to her, but sometimes she lets some details slip. When she isn't doing WoL things, Silent resides in Ul'dah doing the odd mercenary job and working on her novels, which she has become quite prolific at. She has picked up a variety of skills on her journeys, but would be considered a Master of None.

History

Silent Nocturne is the product of a child being told they can be anything they want if they set their mind to it, except she was a little nerdy boy who had a fascination with the big samurai ladies in pulp novels and, more or less on a whim, decided to become one.In her early teens Silent took on her new name, grew her hair out, picked up a second-hand katana from a junk salesman and spun a wild tale of her victories to enter a local mercenary group. From there she began to train her body and her mind, and in time she left to travel Eorzea, finding great joy in reenacting her childhood fantasies of embodying the wandering ronin.Along her way Silent began to write her own novels under the pseudonym Beloved Rose, and soon was creating the same stories that she once enjoyed as a child. Now a warrior in her own right, Silent still maintains a child-like wonder with the world, and continues to look for stories in everything around her. It is through this search that she arrived in Ul'dah, on the doorstep of the Free Company Unto the Stars....

Writing

Under her pen name, Beloved Rose, Silent has published many LGBTQIA+, sex-positive novels that have made her a semi-household name to those who follow her. At this point she has developed a moderate following, though she has yet to publish anything under her own name. Some of her noteworthy titles include:The Ancient Spells Series:
A sprawling epic set over the course of eight serial novels. Two Miqo'te who were friends from childhood leave home to find lost magic, artifacts and adventure, but find... each other. Rate M for Magic (and Mature).
Doman Nights:
Baidu Kagon, A Xaela prince, leaves his palace to find a wife and ends up in several steamy encounters with a cohort of attractive suitors. It's a harem novel and one of her most widely-circulated, though it did get banned in some city-states (Gridania, Ishgard, the Steppe (obviously)).
The Blessed Blade:
A light novel featuring the trans woman Warrior Princess T'met on a quest to eliminate an ancient evil, whose fate rests in the hands of a long-retired runesmith now sworn to protect rather than destroy.
The Slayer's Take: A Lewd Adventure Series:
A series of formulaic one-shot adventures where a pair of heroines find themselves delving into deep dungeons, defeating monsters, and falling deeper in love. Some of these rendezvous seem to be auto-biographical... But it's hard to tell past the saucy dungeon adventures.
The Magitektress:
A story of a far-off world where Magitek constructs reign supreme, and those who can control it find themselves thrust into a global conflict as resources become scarce. A more sci-fi take than Beloved Rose's usual faire, but with all of the salacious detours she is known for. A very thinly-veiled Garlemald analogy.
We Go Together:
As angsty as Beloved Rose ever gets, We Go Together is a tale of a pair of young ladies in love, even as they are pulled apart by the fires of war. It's about the yearning. Extremely popular in lesbian circles, very often the title is slipped into conversation to subtly root out other gay women.
Chocobo Race Into My Heart:
A story of a retired chocobo racer and the love she finds in the most unlikely of places: a bright-eyed young upstart who reignites the fires of her passion. Cute, wholesome and very gay -- "One for the Chocobo Girls who grew up and became lesbians who like MILFs," says one rave review.
A Deadly Dance: Unraveling the Weaver's Web:
A mystery novel of high-conspiracy and intrigue. A threat is poised to unravel the lives of the highest-power members of the court. Can the Princesses guard and closest confidant decipher the fabled Weaver's Web before it's too late? Definitely a departure for Beloved Rose, but keeps the energy and pace her fans love. Sets up the promise of a Weaver's Web series, but she hasn't written the next part yet.
Laurel:
The story of the titular Laurel, a young naive viera, and the group of close friends and allies she brings together even as she becomes embroiled in the dark underground of Ul'dah. A light-hearted romp about friendship and good-heartedness overcoming all barriers.
CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS/UNRELEASED:Untitled Bodyguard Story:
Racynne, A roguish young mercenary, must return to her past in order to save the object of her affections: her employer. Swashbuckling, a forbidden romance, and power struggles galore, with the romantic subplot featuring BDSM themes. Got put in limbo while she tries to come up with a compelling title.
Fragments of a Forgotten Star:
The most ambitious Beloved Rose project yet: Heroes on twelve planes come to realize the world they thought was their own is but a fragment, a reflection of a singular whole world that was broken long ago... and must come together to prevent their homes from suffering a worse fate. Scheduled to be released in at least twelve books to match the theme, but the first hasn't even been released yet!
Tentative Title: A World-hopping Sex Romp Through Time and Space, Volume 1:
The Beloved Rose skinematic universe! A series of short stories and non-canonical dalliances between many of the main characters of other Beloved Rose novels, as allowed by the multiverse established in the FoaFS series. Can love transcend time, dimensions... even the boundaries of other canons? Sure, why not! Released in single periodical stories, when the mood strikes her.
